Ganhar prêmios é bom, mas a verdadeira consagração do Daft Punk na festa da 56ª edição do Grammy foi a apresentação da dupla francesa com seus convidados muito especiais.
No começo, uma estranheza: Stevie Wonder, o rapper Pharrell Williams e Nile Rodgers, do Chic, estavam no palco e mandavam ver "Get Lucky", música que gravaram no último álbum do Daft Punk, mas a dupla francesa não aparecia.
O cenário simulava um estúdio de gravação e, depois de dois minutos de música rolando, as luzes da cabine no fundo do "estúdio" foram acesas, mostrando Thomas Bangalter e Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo em seus computadores.
A partir daí, a transmissão da TV ficou com as câmeras passeando na plateia, mostrando as maiores estrelas presentes dançando enlouquecidas: Paul McCartney e Ringo Starr, Steven Tyler, Yoko Ono e Sean Lennon, Katy Perry e o casal Beyoncé e Jay Z fora das cadeiras, dançando no espaço entre as fileiras.
Ao final, aplausos entusiasmados desse público singular.
